Our Story
We Are
Pioneers
Having been in country since 2004, Madagascar Oil is Madagascar's leading and longest-operating oil and gas company — holding a development licence over the Tsimiroro heavy oil structure, Block 3104.
Since 2004
Two Decades of Presence
Madagascar Oil received its 25-year development licence in 2015, extendable to 50 years. Our focus is the Tsimiroro heavy oil structure — a block spanning 57km north-south and 12km east-west, covering 6,670 km².
Production has restarted. First commercial deliveries were made in the second half of 2021, with consistent delivery operations running since July 2022. We are currently in an active expansion phase.
